In order to carry out an economic activity as a business (sole trader or company) in Italy it is compulsory under the law to register with the Business Register (held by the Italian Chambers of Commerce) in the province where the business is based. The Company Registration Report (a.k.a. Company Profile) is an information document containing all the details regarding the business registered: legal information and personal details regarding the business. This is a very important official document: in fact, the Company Registration Report is the best way to verify the social and economic status of an activity and, therefore, evaluate its solidity and reliability before proceeding with a major purchase or investment.
The Company Registration Report contains the personal, legal, economic and tax information for a business, as found in the Italian Business Register. It contains data on the company, including references to registration, name, details, contacts, address of the registered office, PEC (Certified E-mail), registered office, tax code/VAT registration number, legal form, date of foundation, corporate aim and partnership capital, activities carried out, quality certificates, certifications, administrative positions, control positions and qualifications, corporate bodies, owners and partners with relevant quotas, registers, roles and licences, secondary offices and local units.

With the Company Registration Report (in English language) it's easier for a foreign operator to learn the legal situation and main economic information of an Italian company: he will be able to obtain, on line, a document that is certainly more comprehensible and reliable for him, as it comes from an official source, the Italian Business Register.
Italian companies involved in import-export activities will be facilitates when they have to provide the documentation required by foreign authorities. The ability to obtain a Company Registration Report without having to obtain a sworn translation is, in effect, a saving both in time and money for the company.
An additional advantage of the new documents in English is the presence on the first page of the "QR Code", the identification code thanks to which anybody can verify, directly from their smartphone or tablet (as well as from a PC) that the document in their possession corresponds with the one on file at the Business Register at the time it was extracted. The service is particularly economical, as there are no translation costs: Company Registration Reports in English actually cost the same as the reports in Italian.
